From Whyalla

Hello. Thanks for the post Lindy. I had been thinking that I should put some pics up today so thanks for the news and the inspiration.

Not a lot has been happening here apart from illness. The boy and I have been unwell since last Tuesday (10th) but thankfully Calvin has been back at school this week and Eli doesn't require being held all the time, but it is taking quite a long time to feel good again.
Oh did I mention that we were now very into duplo! (see above pic)
Stuart has been very busy with school and trips out of town, church and stuff. Can't really see that slowing down (!) but we are hoping to make a bit of a holiday of my birthday and head to Melbourne at the end of May, so that's something to look forward to.

We had mum and dad here Monday and Tuesday and that was absolutely lovely (not to mention that the house looks cleaner for mum being - thanks mum).

The kids are very excited and I'm feeling rather bogan, because we are planning to go to our first monster truck rally on Saturday night! Complete with a car eating dinosaur!!!! lol Oh well, can't live in Whyalla without being a bit bogan I guess.

Hope that you are all well. Have a great holiday mum and day. Big hugs for you all. Mwah Mwah.

We're Not Dead!

Hello everybody. Just thought I should let you know that we are still alive and kicking, just not writing on the blog. So there is not alot new happening with us. The kids just had their mid term exams and then three days holidays which was nice. Work is still going well at Dar El Awlad, although we got struck by lightning which blew the generator so half the time there is no electricity and also the internet has not been working for the past week, but I think it is fixed today. And work is going well at All Saints' though I updated my computer last week and when I did the back up of all my files, for some reason it didn't copy most of my church folders so I lost all that info and had to hunt through emails to recreate as much as I could! And work is going well at YFC, we had some really good clubs the past couple of weeks with more kids than ever and plans for exciting things coming up.

So life is good with us. Lots of love to you all xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Lindy.

Finally photos from Whyalla Kittos

Hi all. Hope that you are all keeping cool (or warm if that's more appropriate). Thought it was time to update the blog and share some pictures from the last month. Sorry, I don't have to time to lable each picture, but below you will find photos from the holiday the kids and I had in Orroroo in January (thanks mum and dad). On the way home the kids and I stopped at the lookout in Horrick's Pass and found a lizard on the road.
The lego that Calvin is holding in the last shot is what he bought with his birthday money from Grandma Jean and Grandma and Grandpa. Thank you very much :)
Calvin has enjoyed starting school (despite the heat, and being trapped indoors without air-conditioning!).  It was lovely to have Ian and Karen Kitto here for a visit this week. This kids really liked their 'Nana & Pappa time".
Elisha is quickly becoming a big, active boy. He is on 3 solid meals a day now and likes to sit up and play on the floor. This morning he enjoyed his first outside playtime while I hung washing as it was a very pleasent high 20's at 9am.

Enjoy the pics. Love and hugs to you all.

tour of the new house

Hi, not sure what order these will appear but I don't think you will have too much trouble working out what room is what. We are slowly getting the boxes emptied and are feeling very much at home, in fact now that life as settled down and we have been able to stay here for more than a couple of nights at a time, we are enjoying the benifits of a lovely stone home. 35 today yet only had the AC on for less than an hour to cool the house down. Hopefully things will quieten down a little, but have deadlines to meet monday with information for the sale of the farm and a funeral on Tuesday. Time will tell what other things will be needed to fit into the week

Calvin IS Indy and our acrobat children!

Calvin all ready for school! Can you believe it?!!! He will have his first (and only) transition visit on Thursday morning. I took this photo on Monday with his new uniform and new school bag.

Both Natalie and Calvin have decided that they want to do gymnastics next year and have been practising their hand stands and cart wheels every day.

Eli is continuing to grow and thrive and generally just be really really cute.

Although Calvin's birthday is still a month away, we have started planning his party so that we can invite all his kindy friends (before the holidays start and he never sees them again!). Here is the picture I created for his invitations. I just thought I'd share. (For those of you who are interested, we've decide to have his party on Sun the 11th).

Hope you're all well. Love and hugs -Debbie

Latest Orroroo news

Last weekend we had 15 people from the Camden Campus of Holdfast Church come for a visit. Sat. after an enjoyable meal at Maggie's they toured the sights of orroroo including the Resevoir, tank Hill, Big gum tree, Magnetic hill and then on to a BBQ tea and a night around a camp fire on the west side of the Farm house, It was a great night and we had a wonderful service on the Sun. concluding with a god old Orroroo luncheon.

On Thurs we, along with Grandma jeannie had a day in Whyalla to celebrate Natalie's birthday. It was good timing as the children were home for the day because of a teachers strike. We were able to stay for tea and were home just after 9.00pm.

Natalie's birthday and stuff ...

Hello all. Another Kitto update here.
Firstly, we have the mess that is created when a glass table smashes. Still not sure how it broke, though we suspect the cat may have jumped on it and been the 'cat' that broke the table's 'back'.

Stuart is very pleased with his birthday present. A remote controlled lego bulldozer. With 1358 pieces and 3 days to build Stuart has had a lot of fun with it this week.

Mum, dad and Grandma Jean visited here on Thursday to celebrate Natalie's birthday early. Was a very lovely and relaxing day and great that the school/kindy were striking so the kids could stay home. Eli enjoyed all the cuddles. Eli was so worn out from his big day with the grandparents that he slept from 11pm until I woke him at 8:15am to take Natalie to school!
Eli and mummy. There are not many pictures of me with my son so thanks mum for suggesting this. Eli is wearing the overalls that Aunty Heth bought Natalie when she was born. The only outfit I have photos of all 3 kids wearing.
Natalie's birthday: Thank you Aunty Heth, Uncle Al, Jacob and Sam for this lovely dancing ballerina.
Thank you Nanna and Pappa for the beautiful hanging net. Natalie slept under it last night.
Thank you Aunty Kerryn, Uncle Michael, Annie and Isaac for the money. Natalie has put it in her money box to save for something special.
Natalie with her castle cake.

Hope that you are all well. Eli is recovering from his cold thankfully and we all seem to be mostly healthy - hurray.
Love and hugs to you all. -Debbie

We have roses

We have had to buy a new camera as the old one is not working. Thought we should show you some of the roses in the garden. Well as you can see they are not all of roses. There is one mean cat who is saying "Dont mess with me or there will be trouble." The rest are "roses" of one kind or another.
Hopefully there will be some more interesting photos when we get to know the camera a little better.
