End of an Era

After 28 years as a member of the Orroroo Health Board I attended the last meeting last night as the board will no longer exist after the 30 th. June. A new health board will take over the running of the health units in Orroroo, Booleroo, Jamestown and Peterborough. Thankfully I am not a rep from Orroroo on the new board So the last monday in each month will now be a night at home. (maybe) I wondered why most of the board members received a certificate at the end of the meeting and Tom Case and I seemed to have missed out. The CEO then got up and announced that he had something special for two long serving members of the board and proceeded to hand me a brown paper package. The enclosed photos describe best what it contained. I was very surprised and delighted with the gift it should look good on the wall.
Tom only got a small plaque with a promise of a TV cabinet to put it on.
The shearing is going well but the below freezing temps every morning is a bit hard on the fingers and toes.

Wow Dad, that is a very cool photo. I can imagine it will look very good indeed on the wall. And you had better take out that maybe for Monday nights. Why do you think we girls are always so busy!!! We inherited it from you guys!! :)I don't like the sound of those temps either. We are having very plesant weather still, although it is starting to get a bit on the muggy side.
