Thought we should share a bit of Lebanon's more cultural activites with Mum and Dad, so we had a night at the L'Orchestre Symphonique National du Liban, at a beautiful old Jesuite church. Unfortunately I was not brave enough to take photos while the orchestra was playing, but here are some photos of the church. We listened to a piece of Figaro to begin with, then a Concerto for Cello & Orchestra by J Haydn and Serenade for Strings Orchestra by Tchaikovsky. Lovely!
Oooooo Ahaaaaa! Looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteSoak it all in while you can, meanwhile we are getting ready to go to cultured Orroroo!
